Hiring Anuka for a Show
A bellydancer is an exciting addition to a variety of events including weddings, parties, bridal showers, nightclubs, festivals and theatre events. Options include a full length performance or a short performance with a 50-minute dance lesson.Soloist Private Event Rates:
- Downtown Toronto: $200
- GTA: Scarborough, East York, North York, Markham, Etobicoke, Mississauga: $250
- Outside GTA: $300
- Weekly Nightclub or Restaurant Performance: $100
- Second performance within one hour of first performance is half price

Q: What happens in a bellydance performance?
A typical solo performance includes an exciting entrance piece using a veil. The dancer will then perform to a variety of songs, ending the show with a dynamic percussion solo. The show can include audience participation such as getting the guest(s) of honour up to dance.
Q: How long is the show?
The best length for a solo bellydance performance is between twenty minutes to half an hour - most audiences will get restless during longer performances if it is not a theatre show. If your event requires longer than a thirty minute performance, please contact Anuka for a consultation.Q: What does the dancer need to know in advance?
The dancer needs to know the name of the contact person is who will take her cd and direct her to the changing room, as well as a phone number for either the event venue or the event director.Q: What if I want to have more than one dancer?

- Performers require a clean room to change in that locks.
- Ideally, a 10 foot by 10 foot (or larger) level space will be available for the show.
- Your sound system must be loud enough fill the room - a boom box does not typically satisfy the needs of a performance.
- Please tell us what type of event it is and what the cultural background of the majority of the guests is or if there are any special song requests. This will help us to select the most appealing music for your event.
- Please give the performer an accurate arrival and performance time. Dancers often have more than one event scheduled the same night.
- Absolutely no bachelor parties or all-male audiences.
Please be advised that New Year's Eve rates are double.
(The base rate is doubled - travelling fees are not. For instance, a Mississauga show would be $450,not $500,on NYE.)
